On Wednesday 10 April I met up with the smashing group of Norfolk PCC Youth Commissioners who will be steering the development of The Journeys through Justice project.
History can be a dry subject for many young people. I have often seen young shoulders slump and eyes mist over at the mere hint of the word! But these young people had already given thought as to why looking back in time at how youth justice was meeted out, systemised and legalised would aid their own understanding and help them disseminate their ‘Big Conversation’ Priorities across Norfolk to their peers and accomplish many of their key recommendations.
One of our main talking points was how to engage the disengaged! A very familiar topic for heritage and museum professionals! As previously mentioned the 13-25 aged range is notoriously underwhelmed by heritage, with this age group
